Citizens will have an insight into all public administration documents that are in the process of being drafted in one place, and they will have the opportunity to contribute to the adoption of those documents with suggestions and proposals.
Brnabic pointed out on this occasion that the adoption of laws and bylaws will not be possible without transparent consultations with citizens, civil society organizations and business associations.
The Prime Minister assessed that today is a great day for democracy in Serbia, when a new era in the way of writing and adopting laws and bylaws begins.
The Prime Minister reminded that 231 laws were adopted during the mandate of the Government of Mirko Cvetkovic, out of which 141 laws under urgent procedure, which is, as she says, 61 percent of legal regulations, while public debates were held for 35 draft laws, i.e., 15 percent.
In the mandate of the current government, as she pointed out, out of 173 adopted laws, only seven were passed by urgent procedure, which is four percent, while 52 percent of the laws went to public debate.
Brnabic said that today it is an obligation to include representatives of interested parties in all phases of passing the law, and invited citizens, civil society organizations and business associations to visit the portal and get involved in all processes of passing public documents that are important to them.
Director of the Office for IT and eGovernment Mihailo Jovanovic said that the new portal is a digital tool for involving citizens, civil society organizations and business representatives in the decision-making process of public administration.
By establishing this platform, the cooperation between the public and private sector is raised to a higher level, said Jovanović and added that 24 institutions have already registered on the eConsultation platform, of which 21 are ministries.
Currently, 3,800 institutions use the eGovernment portal, and 1,112,000 citizens are registered on that platform, he pointed out, expressing gratitude to the German Organisation for International Cooperation (GIZ), which financed the eConsultation project.
The promotion of the new platform was attended by Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Serbia Thomas Schieb and the Director of the Republic Secretariat for Public Policy Bojana Tosic.
