Speaking about the process and importance of digital transformation, Brnabic said that the results are visible at this moment, both in the sphere of education and public services, and in the transformation of business environment and the growth in the number of start-up companies, which contributes to dynamic and sustainable development.
She underlined that investment in innovation and support to the ICT sector already contribute to the return of our people from the diaspora and the inflow of highly educated foreigners who are coming to live and work in Serbia.
Speaking about the priorities to which the current government is committed, the Prime Minister underlined that investment in education on which future economy will be based, as well as digital transformation and information technologies, are aimed at creating a modern state and society for future generations and the return of young people to the country.
Brnabic described as very important the fact that EU Member States approved the opening of cluster 4, which deals with the Green Agenda and Sustainable Connectivity, which speaks about the government’s commitment to this issue.
The Prime Minister informed her interlocutor about the wide range of activities undertaken by the government in this area and underlined that she sees great potential in green and biotechnological transformation, as key areas of development in the near future.
The UN Assistant Secretary-General cited areas in which cooperation with the UNDP would yield results and pointed out that the commitment to finding long-term and sustainable solutions to environmental issues is one of the biggest challenges in the coming period.
