The Agreement was signed by Minister of Health Zlatibor Loncar and Country Manager of Microsoft in Serbia Milan Gospic.
Brnabic underlined on this occasion that this device will make the job easier for doctors, additionally improve work in red zones and patient care, and it will also enhance the safety of doctors.
She stated that Clinical Hospital Centre “Dragisa Misovic” reduced the presence of doctors in covid red zones by 60 percent by using this device.
The Prime Minister underlined that today is a great day for our health care system, but also for positioning Serbia on the map of innovations and new technologies.
According to her, a complete digitalisation of the health system started 12 months ago.
It perhaps started symbolically with the introduction of e-prescription, she said and added that the Programme for digitalisation of health care to 2026, together with the Action plan to 2023, have been completed today.
Loncar pointed out that the use of HoloLens device is a revolution in the health care system of our country, adding that Serbia was among the first to adopt new technologies and began to apply them.
In the times of pandemic this device means a lot as it will enable doctors who are at high risk and who should not be even close to the red zones to work.
This device will make it possible for them to help patients in the most serious condition as if they were there, since a nurse will take this device to the red zone and the doctor can see everything from a safe distance, control the situation and say what needs to be done, Loncar explained.
Responding to questions from reporters after the signing of the agreement, Brnabic underlined that she is satisfied with the current epidemiological situation as the situation with the coronavirus is getting better, but it does not mean it will remain so if do not continue to take care of ourselves.
She stated that there is a clear tendency of decline in the number of infections and the percentage of positive cases in relation to all those tested, which yesterday after a long time stood below 20 percent, and she described this as encouraging.
According to her, the weekly average of new cases per 100,000 population in Europe positioned Serbia today at the 17th place with 50 cases for every 100,000 people.
