Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Tatjana Matic paid a two-day official visit to the State of Israel.
On that occasion, Matic met with Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid, with whom she discussed the development of trade relations between Serbia and Israel.
We reaffirmed the good bilateral relations and jointly concluded that there is a huge potential for the accelerated development of political and trade relations between our two countries. The possibility of signing a free trade agreement, as well as an agreement on cooperation in the field of tourism, was especially discussed, Matic said.
The Minister also had a meeting with Head of the Foreign Trade Administration Ohad Cohen, during which they discussed the improvement of bilateral economic cooperation, investments in telecommunications infrastructure, as well as cooperation in tourism, services and information technologies.
Matic also talked with representatives of one of the leading Israeli companies in the field of cyber security, Cognyte Software, about the possibilities of cooperation on future projects, according to a statement from the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications.
