Prime Minister Ana Brnabic visited the North Banat District today, where she visited Serbian company "Visa-prom" in Kanjiza, which is the largest primary wood processor in our country and employs 255 workers.
Brnabic pointed out that the state is trying to help businessmen with subsidies and incentives, investments in equipment, but mostly through investments in infrastructure in order to make it easier for them to reach their subcontractors and for their products to find a market.
She noted that at the last session, the governments of Serbia and Hungary discussed the expansion of border crossings and the opening of additional crossings for freight traffic, as well as the possible expansion of green corridors on the border with northern neighbours, which is extremely important for the economy and citizens in the North Banat District.
The Prime Minister visited the "Jovan Jovanovic Zmaj" elementary school in Novi Knezevac, which has been completely reconstructed with funds from the state budget through the Office for Public Investment Management, in the amount of more than RSD 300 million.
She announced future investments in Novi Knezevac, with investments in a
wastewater treatment plant and sewage network as a priority in the coming period.
This is one of the 26 local governments for which projects are planned from the loan we took from the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEBA), the Prime Minister pointed out and stated that technical documentation is currently being prepared and that tenders will probably be announced soon.
