Prime Minister Ana Brnabic stated that, thanks to vaccination, fewer people are hospitalised in this wave of the coronavirus epidemic.
Speaking on Radio Television of Serbia, Brnabic pointed out that this is not the most difficult epidemic situation, regardless of the fact that the number of newly infected was the highest on 29 September.
She stated that in this wave, we had 8,500 infected people on a daily basis, but that, thanks to the fact that 54% of citizens were vaccinated, there are fewer hospitalisations now.
The Prime Minister once again pointed out the importance of vaccination and called on everyone, especially young people, to be vaccinated, emphasising that when a young person is vaccinated, it shows his/her solidarity and social responsibility and protects the elderly.
She announced that the broadcasting of vaccination videos will start again on all televisions with a national frequency, reminding that the City of Belgrade launched another vaccination campaign yesterday.
At the same time, Brnabic pointed out that one contingent of the latest drugs against coronavirus has already arrived in our country, which is now being tested.
According to her, President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic also fought for those drugs during his visit to the United Arab Emirates, which has all the latest drugs.
We are also talking with the European Union, and with pharmaceutical companies from the United States, China and Japan on the procurement of the drugs that are very expensive, she noted.
