Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikola Selakovic spoke today with a delegation of the France-Western Balkans Friendship Group at the French Senate, led by Senator Marta de Cidrac.
Selakovic stated that intensive cooperation with France at all levels is a lasting and sincere commitment of our country, especially bearing in mind that the two countries signed the Strategic Partnership Agreement.
He underlined that France is one of the most significant economic partners of Serbia, as well as one of the largest investors in the Serbian economy. Selakovic voiced hope that good economic results and conditions for investing in Serbia will attract even more French investors.
The Foreign Minister highlighted that EU membership is a strategic goal of our country and thanked France for the support it gives us in that respect, but also on the overall cooperation in the implementation of reforms in Serbia.
When briefing his interlocutors on the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, the Foreign Minister pointed to Serbia’s dedication and firm commitment to dialogue, but also that Pristina does not show willingness to continue the dialogue and implement the agreements concluded to date.
