Prime Minister Ana Brnabic stated today, after the session of the Crisis Response Team, that this body decided to introduce covid certificates if necessary and that it was agreed that everyone should be prepared for that.
Brnabic also noted that the controls of epidemiological measures in public transport have been intensified since this morning, and that the sanitary inspection will intensify controls in shopping malls and retail stores, and added that the first inspections being advisory, followed by repressive measures.
She stated that the epidemiological situation in Serbia is further complicated, saying that vaccination is the only answer to the coronavirus pandemic.
According to her, at this moment in Serbia 2,821,060 people have been vaccinated with at least the first dose of the vaccine, which is about 52.2 percent of the population, 2,707,594 people or about 50.1 percent have been revaccinated, while 318,858 people have received the third dose, which is about six percent.
Also, she stated that in only three local self-governments, the percentage of vaccinated is over 70 percent, and those are the Belgrade municipalities of Stari grad, Savski venac and Vracar.
Unfortunately, we have six local governments that are still below 30 percent of those vaccinated in the total adult population. Tutin is still the worst with only 16.4 percent, followed by Novi Pazar with 25.7 percent, Lajkovac, Mionica, Ub and Ljig, said Brnabic.
When it comes to the vaccination of young people, she stated that only eight local self-governments in which the percentage of vaccinated young people is between 18 and 30 years of age, are above 30 percent.
Brnabic reiterated that the only way to defeat the coronavirus is vaccination, warning that with this percentage of vaccination, we cannot remain stable.
