Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikola Selakovic met today in Nairobi with State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kenya Ababu Namwaba.
Selakovic handed over to Namwaba an invitation for the participation of representatives of Kenya at the event marking the 60th anniversary of the first conference of the Non-Aligned Movement, which will be held in Belgrade on 11-12 October.
During the meeting at the Nairobi airport, the two officials noted that the relations between Serbia and Kenya are very good and friendly and that they are characterised by mutual understanding and trust.
Selakovic again expressed gratitude for Kenya's principled support to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia.
Selakovic stated that economic cooperation of the two states is insufficiently developed, but that there is great potential for its improvement, especially in the fields of agriculture, pharmaceutical industry, construction, heavy industry and energy.
