Minister of Youth and Sport Vanja Udovicic and Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan Hagiuda Koici signed today, on the sidelines of the Tokyo Olympic Games, a Memorandum of Cooperation areas of youth and sports between Serbia and Japan.

Udovicic reminded that next year marks 140 years of diplomatic relations between Serbia and Japan, and with the signed Memorandum we expressed mutual readiness to institutionally initiate and support further connection of youth and sports systems of the two countries.
According to him, the strengthening of friendly ties between young people is the longest-lasting through youth and sports joint activities in the future as well.
Japan has a rich experience and an exemplary tradition in the organisation of the world's largest youth and sports festivals, and that transfer of experience and knowledge at the institutional level is of great importance, the Minister stated.
