Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said tonight at the ceremonial academy on the occasion of the Soldier's Day that it is important to remember the past and pay tribute to people who fought for freedom and ideas.
Speaking at this gathering, Brnabic, as an envoy of the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, pointed out that without the past and the memory of all those people and ideas, there is no us.
The Prime Minister reminded that on this day 80 years ago, the name "freedom" was written across the entire country, across each of its cities, streets, hamlets and houses, and it was written in the only way it could be written – with the people’s own blood.
Thanks to freedom we can enjoy every new road, factory, hospital, school, through learning and working, the Prime Minister concluded.
The ceremonial academy was also attended by delegations from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Portugal, Hungary, Republika Srpska, Northern Macedonia, Slovenia, Croatia and Montenegro.
