Prime Minister Ana Brnabic, as an envoy of President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic, today, on the occasion of marking the Soldier’s Day, laid a wreath at the monument "Call to Uprising".
At the central event in front of the Museum "4 July", Brnabic pointed out that today we remember and mark one of the most important dates in our history.
She emphasised that on 4 July 1941, the voice of our people and the voice of anti-fascists were heard far away, so far that eight decades later, we have a responsibility, but a great need to remember that date forever.
And to send a loud message that we will never forget him. We will remember all the killed fighters of the National Liberation War, and while we are alive, we will pay tribute to all participants in that war, the Prime Minister said.
According to her, in the Ribnikar house, not only the fight for freedom began, but much more than that, the fight for what freedom is – the right to think differently, speak, differentiate and choose.
In addition to the Prime Minister, the wreath was laid by Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic, and the ceremony was attended by the Minister of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs and President of the Serbian Government Committee for Liberation Wars Darija Kisic Tepavcevic and WWII participants and their descendants.
