Brnabic estimated that a lot has already been done in the Business Incubator Centre, ntoing that the industrial technology park in Krusevac will be completed, just like the science and technology parks in Nis, Novi Sad and Cacak were completed.
Krusevac and the people of Krusevac deserved this, the Prime Minister emphasised, estimating that this is a project and a vision of the future, which Krusevac mostly did alone and with very little help from the republic budget.
She pointed out that there was a lot of skepticism when the government of Serbia announced the construction and equipping of similar parks in other cities, but that it turned out that the promises were not just empty stories.
Joksimovic stated that today they also talked about how additional funds can be found for this project, noting that pre-accession IPA funds from the European Union should be used.
The Minister sent an invitation to those interested to follow the competitions that are open and transparent, emphasizing that this can be an opportunity for development, not only of science, but also when it comes to other areas.
We have just completed the EU PRO programme for local economic development, which has been running since 2018. Today we are going to EU PRO PLUS. The possibilities are great, she pointed out, specifying that co-financing goes from 15 to 49%, which is very favourable.
According to her, a large part of the funds can be donated from EU grants, with less co-financing.
Joksimovic emphasised that the Rasina District withdrew 18 projects from the EU PRO, eight of which are in Krusevac with a total value of approximately €350,000.
Director of the Business Incubator Centre Martina Manojlovic said that the Regional Industrial Technology Park is a new vision of the future for Krusevac.
She expressed hope that the Prime Minister will recognise the importance of the park, because it is important for the development of youth, family and women's entrepreneurship, new technologies and robotics.
