Prime Minister Ana Brnabic stated today that the government does not want to comment the non-papers which appeared in connection with Kosovo and Metohija because they are informal policies, and it is not known who their authors are.
Answering the questions of Serbian MPs in the House of the Serbian parliament, Brnabic pointed out that the government did not support or refute any of them because that is not the way it engages in politics.
There are only speculations and whatever we say, we would disclose our cards, which we do not want to do, the Prime Minister said and repeated that she is against redrawing the borders that are accepted by the United Nations.
According to her, redrawing the borders raises the issue of regional stability, and those who recognised the so-called state of Kosovo opened the Pandora's box which is difficult to close.
We have seen that in Georgia, Spain. These are the consequences of opening the Pandora's box, Brnabic reiterated and pointed out that she sees no reason for the state to react to unofficial documents.
We have a platform for Kosovo and Metohija. We also have a platform that was adopted in this House, but we must also say that since 2014, we have been facing a reality that we have not sponsored, the Prime Minister pointed out.
She underlined that President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic showed that he is fighting the best he can, and the result is the fact that the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina must continue, although for most countries that issue was closed and put to the files.
I see no other way but dialogue and I hope that Pristina will find the courage and strength for that dialogue, which is in the interest of all of us. We are always ready for dialogue and conversation, said Brnabic.
She reiterated that Kosovo and Metohija is a province within Serbia and that this is not brought into question, but that Serbia is always ready for talks because that is the only way to preserve regional stability.
The Prime Minister announced that 2,464,701 people have been vaccinated in Serbia, which is about 45.6 percent of the adult population, and again called on citizens, especially those under 30, to get vaccinated, because that will make it possible to put an end to the epidemic.
Brnabic specified that 1,963,486 citizens have been revaccinated and underlined that Serbia has enough vaccines, and that it can inoculate more than three million people.
Even if we don’t get any more vaccines, we have enough to vaccinate 3,115,000 people, and as soon as today the additional 100,000 Sputnik V vaccines are arriving. Everyone wants to come to Serbia to get vaccinated, and I ask our citizens to be responsible and help us to put an end to the pandemic, the Prime Minister stated.
Brnabic pointed out that the epidemiological situation in our country is getting better and more stable and that the percentage of positive cases of coronavirus in relation to those tested is falling. According to the latest data, it is around three percent, which she assessed as very good.
