Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikola Selakovic held an online meeting today with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Ireland Simon Conveney about the deepening and improvement of cooperation between the two countries.

Selakovic pointed to the importance of regular evaluation of the situation in Kosovo-Metohija at the UN Security Council, highlighting the significance of the role of the Republic of Ireland in its activities, especially now that it has won a non-permanent seat on this body for 2021/22.
He underlined that Serbia is fully committed to the normalisation of relations with Pristina and to achieving a compromise solution that would be acceptable to both sides.
Selakovic said that the strategic commitment of Serbia is a full membership in the EU, that our country is very much dedicated to the reform process and the European integration and expressed gratitude for the support of the Republic of Ireland on that path.
