Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikola Selakovic addressed today the 27th Ministerial Meeting of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), which was organised in the form of a video conference, as part of the Albanian Presidency.
Selakovic pointed to the importance that Serbia attaches to the development of regional cooperation, and especially the support it provides to the peaceful resolution of all conflicts in the OSCE area.
In line with that, he emphasised that it is more necessary than ever to strengthen solidarity and multilateralism in a politically challenging time, additionally burdened by the unprecedented socio-economic consequences of the pandemic.
The year that is behind us is also marked by the renewal of the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, he recalled and pointed out that real progress cannot be achieved if the commitments from the Brussels Agreement are not fully implemented.
According to him, this primarily refers to the implementation of the part of the Agreement on the Creation of the Union of Serbian Municipalities (ZSO), which would provide institutionalised protection of the Serbian people in Kosovo-Metohija, which Pristina has refused to implement for more than seven years.
