Today, President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic expressed his gratitude to the European Union for the grant for the construction of the intermodal terminal in Batajnica, emphasising that the project will mean much for further economic progress.

Together with the Minister for European Integration Jadranka Joksimovic and Head of the EU Delegation Sam Fabrizi, he pointed out that this project will contribute to the local development of Batajnica and Zemun, as well as the whole of Belgrade and Serbia.
The President expressed his gratitude to the representatives of the EU and the member states because their taxpayers set aside and donated €13.7 million for this project, while Serbia will provide €1.8 million.
Also, Vucic underlined that we will still need the support of the EU and at the same time expressed gratitude to the EIB for the support for the construction of the Nis-Merdare highway, for the first section from Nis to Plocnik.
