Minister of Health Zlatibor Loncar stated today that this ministry set aside €5 million for the purchase of 11 CT scanners and five cardiac catheterisation rooms.

Minister of Health Zlatibor Loncar stated today that this ministry set aside €5 million for the purchase of 11 CT scanners and five cardiac catheterisation rooms.
After a meeting with directors of health institutions that will get the new equipment, Loncar said that CT scanners will go to the Clinical Hospital Centre Zvezdara, Clinical Centre of Kragujevac and the Valjevo General Hospital.
CT scanners will also be sent to the health centres in Negotin and Uzice, the Cuprija General Hospital, Health Centre of Vranje, Loznica General Hospital, Belgrade Institute for Pulmonary Diseases and Tuberculosis, and to the Clinical Centre of Serbia, one to the Polyclinic and the Emergency Centre each.
As for the five cardiac catheterisation rooms, they will be sent to the Clinical Centre of Kragujevac, Clinical Hospital Centre Zvezdara, Sveti Sava Special Hospital, Valjevo General Hospital and the Clinical Centre of Serbia.
The Ministry transferred money to hospitals today and instructed hospital directors to carry out the procurement procedure in the shortest time possible so that the equipment could be put to use within a month and a half or two, Loncar underlined.
