Prime Minister Ana Brnabic talked today with the outgoing Head of the OSCE Mission to Serbia, Ambassador Andrea Orizio, about cooperation to date and participation of this organisation in the reform processes in our country.
Brnabic expressed gratitude to Ambassador Orizio, who is ending his term in Serbia, for constructive cooperation and support, and praised the work of the Mission, primarily in encouraging dialogue at the national and regional level, providing support to the civil sector and strengthening institutions.
Noting that the most important task for Serbia and the future government is the completion of judicial reform, which is a condition for the continuation of overall reforms in the country, the Prime Minister pointed out that establishing a stable judicial system is in the greatest interest of the state and Serbian citizens.
The head of the OSCE Mission praised Serbia for its commitment to reforms and the results achieved.
Recalling the adoption of the Media Strategy, he pointed out that it is a key part of the overall reforms in the country and the creation of a stronger democratic society.
He explained that progress has been made in the reform of the state administration, which has enabled greater transparency and direct communication with citizens.
Brnabic expressed gratitude to the Head of the OSCE Mission for the assistance and donations provided by this organisation, primarily to the most vulnerable groups in our country, in order to better cope with the consequences of the COVID-19 epidemic, as well as for long-term constructive partnership with Serbia and readiness to work together with their knowledge and experience to strengthen Serbian society and institutions.
