Following a visit to the War Crimes Prosecutor's Office together with Serbian Supreme Court President Vida Petrovic-Skero, Stojkovic said at a press conference that the state and the courts have committed to confront possible cases of corruption and that this arrest is proof of that.
Speaking about war crimes trials, Stojkovic reiterated that the Serbian government wishes that perpetrators of war crimes of Serb nationality should be tried before domestic courts.
That would prove the state's readiness to confront all crimes that were committed and at the same time, it is important to say that verdicts brought by domestic courts have much more weight than those brought by foreign courts.
Special Prosecutor for War Crimes Vladimir Vukcevic said that the indictment for the Scorpions case could be issued soon. He explained that the investigation has been completed and documents submitted to the prosecution.
Vukcevic said that new information concerning the mass grave in Batajnica could also be expected.
