Prime Minister Ana Brnabic met today with representatives of the “Creative Serbia” Association and the Ministry of Culture and the Media, in order to start dialogue and cooperation on solving problems in the cultural and creative sector caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

In addition to the problems that emerged as a direct consequence of the pandemic, more specifically, the ban on public gatherings, the participants in the meeting also discussed the decades-old problems and the improvement of active measures of support to the cultural and creative sector in Serbia.
Brnabic expressed gratitude to representatives of the “Creative Serbia” Association on concrete proposals and offered them a long-term cooperation.
Thank you for making concrete proposals and recognising a good intention of the Serbian government to help culture, first and foremost young artists, given that I deeply believe that culture is of essential importance for the economy and the strength of a state. That is why it is very important that we join forces when it comes to culture, to put politics aside, because that is the only way to do the best possible job. We did the best things precisely with the help of the economy and the NGO sector, the Prime Minister underlined.
