Labus and MacShane stressed the importance of tackling the Kosovo crisis through political dialogue, which will guarantee safety of all citizens in the province. The two officials agreed that the fight against organised crime is crucial for the termination of violence in Kosovo, as well as for the stability of the entire Balkans.
Labus said that Serbia-Montenegro's accession to the Partnership for Peace would significantly ease political tensions and bring the country closer to the European Union.
The Serbian Deputy Prime Minister said that the partnership between Serbia-Montenegro and the NATO would also send a positive signal to investors, since poor security situation of a country always discourages investment.
