Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said today that there is no need to cancel major public events due to coronavirus at the moment, noting that, should such a need arise, the proper measures will be taken immediately.
Brnabic, who attended the opening of the Nobel Prize Salon at the Adligat Book Museum, said when asked if major public events in Serbia should be cancelled because of coronavirus, that she is not the one who decides on that.
As Prime Minister, I follow the recommendations of expert bodies, the relevant ministry, expert services. There is no need to cancel such events at the moment, and if such need arises, we will respond to it immediately, the Prime Minister reiterated.
Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia Sem Fabrizi, who attended the same event at the Adligat Book Museum, said that there is strong coordination in Europe regarding coronavirus.
The European Commission has already sent money to a number of emergency funds. Coordination between the Member States is underway to undertake activities in close cooperation with others, he said.
