Minister of Health Zlatibor Loncar stated today that there is no reason for panic over coronavirus, adding that it is realistic to expect this virus to appear in Serbia, but that our health system is ready and that all recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO) have been implemented.

After signing the Agreement on continuation of cooperation between Serbia and the WHO with Regional Director for Europe of this organisation Hans Kluge, Loncar said that no cases of coronavirus have been recorded in Serbia until now and that a special section dedicated to this topic will be added on the website of the Ministry of Health.
He called on citizens to keep updated with the official information of the competent health institutions in Serbia, as well as with information on the WHO website.
The Minister underlined that more people die from seasonal influenza than from coronavirus and urged citizens to take common measures, such as to wash their hands, avoid large gatherings, spend time in nature and eat healthy.
Kluge, who after the meeting in Belgrade travels to Italy where coronavirus appeared, said that he leaves Serbia in peace because he saw that all the recommended measures have been applied.
