Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin spoke today in Belgrade with Minister of the French Armed Forces Florence Parly, who is on an official visit to Serbia, on the political and security situation in the region, on defence cooperation and on military-economic cooperation.

Vulin stated that Serbia is committed to the peaceful settlement of all issues with Pristina, for the better life of its citizens in Kosovo-Metohija, while protecting its sovereignty and territorial integrity and full respect for Security Council Resolution 1244 and the Military Technical Agreement.
He also emphasised that the formation of the so-called Kosovo's army for Serbia is absolutely unacceptable and that KFOR is the only guarantee of security in Kosovo-Metohija, in accordance with Resolution 1244.
Vulin and Parley said that cooperation in defense between Serbia and France is intensive and that the focus areas are joint training and participation in multinational operations under the auspices of the European Union, with special emphasis on the European Union mission in Mali, military, economic and scientific-technical cooperation.
Parley emphasised her satisfaction with the military cooperation between Serbia and France and emphasized that there is room for its improvement.
