Minister of Defense Aleksandar Vulin announced today in Oslo, where he is staying at the invitation of Minister of Defence of Norway Frank Bakke-Jensen, that Serbia is militarily neutral and will not enter NATO, nor any other military alliance.
Vulin exchanged views with his host on the political and security situation in the Western Balkans, the Scandinavian region and the Arctic.
He reiterated that the transformation of Kosovo's security forces into a so-called Kosovo army is absolutely unacceptable for Serbia because it is a gross violation of UNSCR 1244.
According to Vulin, Norway is one of the most important countries in Serbia for expert and financial support in the field of military medicine, reform of military education and defence planning.
The defense ministers of the two countries today laid a wreath at the Vestre Gravlund Cemetery in Oslo in honor of more than 3,000 Yugoslav partisans who gave their lives during World War II in Norway in the fight for freedom and independence.
