Prime Minister Ana Brnabic today spoke with Director of the International Committee of the Red Cross for Europe and Central Asia Martin Schuepp on the continuation of good cooperation, exchange of information and plans for the next five-year period.
At the meeting, special attention was paid to the assistance of that this organisation in locating missing persons from the conflict in the former Yugoslavia.
Brnabic pointed to a number of problems facing Serbia in the process of searching for missing persons in the territory of the former Yugoslavia, emphasising that it would be valuable assistance from that international organisation when it comes to exchanging information on missing persons.
Schuepp confirmed that continued well-established cooperation was needed, saying that both sides were doing an extremely difficult and important job.
He said that he plans to visit Pristina, Zagreb and Sarajevo in the coming period, after Belgrade, noting that the families of the missing in the entire region are linked by mutual suffering.
The meeting was also attended by the President of the Commission for Missing PersonsVeljko Odalovic as well as Special Envoy of the President of the Republic for Resolving Missing Persons with Croatia Veran Matic.
