Prime Minister Ana Brnabic started today a two-day visit to Berlin with a meeting with President of the Federal Association of German Small and Middle-Sized Enterprises Mario Ohoven.
Tomorrow Brnabic will meet with German Chancellor Angela Merkel with whom she will speak about the promotion of overall relations between the two countries.
After the working lunch, Brnabic and Merkel will speak at a joint press conference.
Brnabic will then visit the Family Entrepreneurs Association, and will also talk to the President of the German Digital Association (BITKOM).
The Prime Minister said in a statement to the press that this visit is aimed at further improving and consolidating relations with Germany, which is one of Serbia's most significant economic and political partners.
When asked what she expects from tomorrow's meeting with Merkel and whether she expects Germany to take a "slightly looser stance" on demarcation as a possible solution to the Kosovo problem, she said she has no such expectations.
I have no hope that this will happen at this time, certainly not that there will be some quantitative steps forward at tomorrow's meeting, the Prime Minister said.
Brnabic underlined that it is important to her to send the message that, no matter how much Serbia and Germany have different views on some issues, we intend to become a predictable, honest and dedicated partner to Germany.
The Prime Minister thanked Chancellor Merkel for all she has done for Serbia and the Western Balkans.
Speaking about the issue of normalisation of Belgrade-Pristina relations, and above all regional cooperation, such cooperation would not exist in this amount without the Berlin Process, which was launched by Merkel in 2014, Brnabic explained.
Commenting on allegations that Germany and France want their envoy in the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, the Prime Minister said that there is no such official information, but noted that these countries want a more active role in the dialogue.
Whoever can help is welcome to do so, we need advice, Serbia is open to talks and cooperation, Brnabic stated.
