As a result of good cooperation between the prime ministers of the two countries and the visible results of the Serbian government in the field of digitization of public administration, the signing of this agreement marks the beginning of the "Serbia Digitized" programme.
Owing to this agreement which defines specific activities, the already good bilateral cooperation between the two countries established within the projects of Western Balkan digitalization will be improved, especially in the field of information and communication technologies, and their application in the development of electronic administration.
The bilateral cooperation in question was stared with the holding of the Digital Summit of the Western Balkans in Skopje in 2018 and in Belgrade in 2019.
This is also the first step in the implementation of the “Serbia Digitized" programme, through which the Office for Information Technologies and E-Government will start to spread knowledge and solutions in the field of digitization of public administration.
Director of the Office Mihailo Jovanovic said that the exchange of knowledge, ideas and experiences, as well as regional integration and the provision of electronic services within the region is invaluable for the further development of the Western Balkans.
Minister of Information Society and Administration of the Republic of North Macedonia Damjan Mancevski said that the agreement signed today will serve to intensify the good cooperation that has already begun at digital summits held in Skopje and Belgrade.
Mancevski stated that the agreement refers to the exchange of experiences about the new concept of web portals of the government and ministries, and about a new two-way mode of communication with citizens.
