New coins with Serbian national coat of arms issued

The National Bank of Serbia (NBS) issued today a new series of coins in denominations of one, five and ten dinars and a 200-dinar banknote, on which the Serbian national coat of arms was displayed for the first time.

NBS Governor Radovan Jelasic said that the issuing of new banknotes coincides with the 121st anniversary of the founding of the Serbian central bank, and stressed the importance of reintroducing one of the most significant state symbols – the national coat of arms.
