The certificates were awarded in Kraljevo to a group of 68 companies operating in the districts of Zlatibor, Kolubara, Macva, Moravica, Podunavlje, Rasina, Raska, Toplica and Sumadija, and by which the funds in the total value of approximately €1.4 million are granted.
Joksimovic underlined that small, medium and micro companies are a pillar of sustainable economic development, adding that Serbia is determined to utilise in the best possible way the period before the full membership in the EU, when it can use various programmes and opportunities.
We want to develop not only our economy, but also to move towards sustainable development, applying the best practices of European countries, the Minister said, adding that it is important to recognise the strategic direction of development and not to lose momentum when first obstacles appear.
Danielsson said that with the support of the EU, micro and small companies will receive non-repayable funds for the purchase of new equipment, which will enable them to increase productivity.
He underlined that the EU will help a total of 106 micro and small companies to improve their production and quality of products and create new jobs, and thus contribute to the improvement of competitiveness of the local economy in Serbia.
