Minister of European Integration Jadranka Joksimovic said in Vienna today that at the conference "The future of the EU – a view from the Western Balkans", that Serbia once again showed that it is a serious and respected partner in Europe.
Joksimovic, who participated in the conference, said that the meeting looked into the prospect of European integration, noting that she expected some of these chapters to be opened.
At the conference, the Minister said that Serbia was undoubtedly determined to stability and security.
When it comes to continuing the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, she said that Pristina does not fulfill the agreements reached, and further subverts them with taxes on goods from central Serbia.
We have clearly demonstrated our position that there is no doubt that, until this is corrected, it will be difficult for dialogue to continue, let alone find a viable solution, Joksimovic emphasised.
The Minister also said that Serbia will continue to seek a sustainable solution, through diplomacy and European integration, and stressed that it does not have what is fundamental respect for the agreements reached.
She assessed that Serbia's arguments were rationally received by all participants at the above-mentioned meeting and added that there was no counter-argumentation that would in any way derogate the position of our country.
