Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin, who is on a two-day visit to the People's Republic of China, today received the highest military honours by Chinese Minister of Defence General Wei Fenghe, after which the two ministers discussed strengthening defence cooperation.
Vulin pointed out that Serbia is not a partner for China based on the number of inhabitants or on the basis of geographical distance, but China regards Serbia as a strategic partner as a country that deserves respect and every help.
The threat coming from cyberspace is certainly something we do not know enough about, and China is one of the most technologically powerful countries in the world, and their support will really mean a lot to us to prepare for completely new threats, said Vulin.
The Minister announced that cooperation will also be improved in the area of military education.
Fenghe expressed admiration for the way the Serbian Armed Forces opposed NATO's aggression.
