Mali said in a statement to Tanjug news agency on the eve of talks with the IMF delegation that will stay in Belgrade on Monday, that he will discuss the structure of wages in the public sector with the head of this mission, with a view of increasing pensions and public sector salaries.
He recalled that since 2016, a lot has been done in terms of salary brackets, noting that the biggest challenge in the upcoming talks with the IMF delegation is the reform of the public sector and public administration.
According to Mali, these measures will have an impact on more than 400,000 people.
He assessed that talks with the IMF are no longer difficult because public finances are stable, and announced that the restructuring of public companies will also be discussed.
Regulating the sector of public administration, salary grades, the amount of income in line with the workplace – all this will be the topic of talks with the IMF, he said.
