The delegation of the Republic of Serbia at the plenary meeting was led by Governor of the National Bank of Serbia Jorgovanka Tabakovic, who is also the Governor of the Republic of Serbia in the IMF. Representatives of the Ministries of Finance and Economy participated in the talks.
The IMF mission, led by James Roaf, is in Belgrade from 7 to 18 May to consider the modalities of future cooperation with Serbia.
On this occasion, the current macroeconomic trends and projections will be examined.
Also, the dialogue between the two sides will be continued during the previous mission visit in March in Belgrade, as well as during the spring session of the IMF and the World Bank Group in Washington on the basics of the economic programme that would be supported by the new, non-financial, advisory arrangement of this international financial institution.
The new arrangement should ensure the preservation of the achieved macroeconomic and fiscal stability, as well as support the continuation of the implementation of the necessary structural reforms in order to achieve stronger and sustainable economic growth, the statement said.
