The Serbian delegation at the plenary meeting was led by Governor of the National Bank of Serbia Jorgovanka Tabakovic, who represents the Republic of Serbia in the IMF, and it also featured Minister of Finance Dusan Vujovic.
The IMF mission, led by James Roaf, is staying in Belgrade on 8-16 March and during the talks, the results of the recently concluded arrangement of the Republic of Serbia with the IMF and the latest macroeconomic and fiscal developments will be summarized.
Bearing in mind that through the implementation of the agreed economic programme in the previous three years, which was supported by the stand-by precautionary arrangement, the goals in achieving the macroeconomic balance and stability of public finances were achieved, as well as in the implementation of reforms in the financial sector, on this occasion the talks will focus on the priorities of economic policy in the coming period, which would consolidate the achieved results and ensure long-term and sustainable economic growth.
The topics that will be discussed will be economic policy measures, the institutional and structural reforms to be implemented, as well as the modalities of the future cooperation of the Republic of Serbia with the IMF, according to the press release.
