Murder of Oliver Ivanovic is a terrorist act for Serbia

President Aleksandar Vucic said after today's session of the National Security Council that the murder of leader of the Civic Initiative "Serbia, Democracy, Justice" Oliver Ivanovic in Kosovska Mitrovica is a terrorist act for the state of Serbia.

At an extraordinary press conference after the session of the Council, Vucic said that a letter was sent to EULEX and UNMIK with the request that the Serbian authorities participate in the investigation of the murder, because he is convinced that this would help in the detection of killers.
We'll find the killer or the killers. There are many interesting details that point to potential perpetrators, he said, adding that due to the investigation he cannot talk about details.
Vucic expressed his expectation that the Prosecutor's Office for Organised Crime of the Republic of Serbia will initiate pre-trial proceedings today and submit requests to other competent authorities, Military Intelligence Agency, Security Intelligence Agency and others.
The Serbian President said that the assassination of Ivanovic was an attack, first of all, on the Ivanovic family, but also on the Serb people in Kosovo-Metohija, on the north of Kosovo and on Serbia as a whole.
Vucic pointed out that the Serbian delegation in Brussels abandoned the dialogue with Pristina because it is very difficult to talk after the murder today.
He said that in the second part of the session of the National Security Council, the daily threats of war and conflict in Kosovo-Metohija were also discussed.
The President of Serbia expressed his condolences to the family of Oliver Ivanovic on behalf of the Republic of Serbia and in his personal name.
