Chinese energy companies interested in Serbia

Minister of Mining and Energy Aleksandar Antic met with representatives of a large number of energy companies from China, Romania and the region, at a meeting of energy ministers of China and 16 countries of Central and Eastern Europe in Bucharest.
Antic said that his most important meeting was with the Vice President of “Power China” and explained that it is one of the most important and biggest energy companies that is interested in cooperating with Serbia.
He added that “Power China” is our partner that shows great interest in developing together with Serbia the project "Toplodalekovod" between Obrenovac and Belgrade power plants in New Belgrade.
The Minister announced in Bucharest today that the meeting of the Ministers of Energy of China and 16 countries of Central and Eastern Europe could be held in Serbia in 2018 or in 2019 at the latest.
He added that “Power China” is our partner that shows great interest in developing together with Serbia the project "Toplodalekovod" between Obrenovac and Belgrade power plants in New Belgrade.
