Joksimovic said that Germany is the largest bilateral donor of Serbia's development aid - for the last 15 years it has allocated €1.7 billion for various projects.
She expressed gratitude for this, but also on the support and assistance that we receive from Germany in the process of EU accession.
All this makes Germany perceived in our public as an important strategic partner.
The Minister for European Integration emphasized that EU membership is a strategic interest of Serbia, and that European integration is the best mechanism for the overall development of the country.
Joksimovic expressed her expectation that, apart from the ten opened chapters and temporarily closed two, Serbia will open several more chapters for which it is ready by the end of the year.
For Serbia, the stability of the region is of great importance, Joksimovic emphasised, pointing out that cooperation is a precondition for peace, development and progress.
She believes that others, such as Serbia, should show such determination, which is important for the European Union as a whole.
Member of the Bundestag Florian Hahn praised the commitment that Serbia, as a significant factor in the region, is showing in order to strengthen stability and achieve concrete results through the reforms we are implementing.
Hahn agreed that others in the region must show responsibility and a constructive approach to stability.
Noting that he believes in the European future of Serbia, Hahn expressed unequivocal support to the continuation of the process of European integration of Serbia, convinced that our country has proven to be an active and reliable EU partner, according to the statement of the Office of the Minister for European Integration.
