During the talks in which Majda Krsikapa, the Director of the Serbian Anti-Corruption Agency also took part, Kuburovic emphasised that Italy's experience in the fight against corruption is valuable for Serbia, which should soon get a new law on the Anti-Corruption Agency.
The new law will eliminate shortcomings that exist in the present law and which primarily relate to the application of the legal provisions, strengthening of the Agency's capacity and expansion of its competencies.
Krsikapa pointed out that the priorities of the Agency in the coming period will be to improve measures and mechanisms for prevention, as well as the development of integrity plans.
Cantone highlighted the good cooperation of the Anti-Corruption National Authority of Italy with colleagues from Serbia, saying that the Anti-Corruption Agency of Serbia should be an example to other countries in the region, which should go this way.
