Safe supply of Serbia with gas from Russia

Minister of Mining and Energy Aleksandar Antic met today with Chairman of Gazprom Executive Committee Alexei Miller on the status and future of ongoing bilateral cooperation, including the export of Russian gas to Serbia and its storage on our territory.
At the meeting, they noted that the deliveries of Russian gas to Serbia in the first nine months of this year increased by 31.7%, compared to January-September 2016.
Antic said that he discussed with Miller the expansion of the Banatski Dvor gas storage facility, whereby it is envisaged that a technical solution should be defined by the end of the year, and that the works will start in 2018.
Citizens of Serbia can be peaceful, because it was concluded that there is absolute security of gas supply of Serbia, the Minister said.
The officials also discussed joint activities from the Road Map, signed by Gazprom and the Ministry of Mining and Energy on 27 June, in order to analyse the possibilities of expanding the capacity of the Serbian gas transportation system.
