Russia open to cooperation with Serbia in IT sector

Minister without Portfolio in charge of Innovation and Technological Development Nenad Popovic and Minister of Communications and Mass Communications in the Government of the Russian Federation Nikolai Nikiforov discussed today the development of digital economy, innovation and information technology.
Popovic and Nikoforov reached an agreement on the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between Serbia and Russia in the field of innovation and digital economy in the upcoming period.
This document will define a framework of future cooperation that would involve the exchange of experience, staffing, cooperation between universities and research centers, as well as innovative, high-tech and IT companies from Serbia and Russia.
An initiative was also presented to create a strategic working group at the ministerial level within the framework of the intergovernmental commission for cooperation between Serbia and Russia, which would address the development of cooperation between the two countries in the field of innovation and digital economy.
