Minister for European Integration in the Government of the Republic of Serbia Jadranka Joksimovic and Permanent Coordinator of the United Nations Team in Serbia Karla Robin Hershey discussed the activities of Serbia during accession negotiations on EU membership, implementation of reforms and modalities of UN agency assistance to our country, especially in the areas that are important for the process of accession to the European Union.
Joksimovic assessed that there is a need to improve cooperation with UN agencies to intensify the economic and social development of the country.
The officials pointed to the importance of strengthening coordination and partnership in the implementation of reforms and the process of European integration.
Hershey stated that all agencies operating within the UN are available to our country for every kind of assistance and support in the implementation of national strategies, especially in the context of achieving sustainable UN development goals by 2030, that is, the continuation of the process of accession to the European Union.
She commended the results of the reforms that are being implemented on the road to EU membership and pointed out that the establishment of the Ministry of European Integration is a clear and unambiguous indicator of the pro-European commitment of Serbia.
