Development of digitization increases employment

President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic attended yesterday in Washington the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Serbian government and American company Cisco.

The Memorandum was signed by Serbian Ambassador to the United States Djerdj Matkovic and Senior Vice President for Relations with Governments and Communities at Cisco Michael Timeni.
This memorandum highlights the intention of the two parties to start talks to reach an agreement on the National Digitization Accelerating Agenda (CDA) programme.
The achievement of this programme can be a strategic move and build a long-term partnership that, through the acceleration of the national digitization agenda, will help boost GDP, create new jobs and provide innovation and education in the public and private sectors.
The goal of this Memorandum is to work on an approach that would represent a joint ownership of both parties and help attract foreign direct investment, strengthen economic development, meet a number of social goals, enable young people to participate in the digital economy, foster digital innovation and competitiveness, and create space for export oriented and knowledge-based possibilities, according to a statement from the Press Service of the President of the Republic.
