At the meeting, there spoke about the reforms that are being implemented in this process, the situation in the region, the relations of the two countries and other topical issues.
Joksimovic reiterated that EU membership is a strategic orientation of Serbia, and stressed that in the future, our country will be a reliable and constructive partner.
She expressed her gratitude for the assistance and support that Belgium provides to Serbia in the process of EU accession, adding that Serbia is committed to cooperation in order to strengthen regional stability, which is a prerequisite for development and progress of the entire environment.
Also, she added that it is necessary that all the rest in the Western Balkan countries should have an identical approach, which is why the Union should send all countries in the region a message on the importance of a constructive approach to preserve stability.
Reynders said that Belgium supports cooperation in the region and advocates the principle that progress in the accession should be measured by individual performance of each candidate country, praising the results of the reforms that are being implemented in Serbia.
