Improving cooperation between Serbia, Iran in energy sector

Minister of Energy and Mining Aleksandar Antic and Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hosein Mol Abdolahi today discussed cooperation between the two countries in many fields, particularly in energy and mining.
Abdolahi stressed that there is a wish for improved economic cooperation of Serbia and Iran in areas of mutual interest, with priority to cooperation in the field of oil, gas and mining.
He informed Antic of a visit of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran Mohammad Javad Zarif Khonsari to Serbia, who will be accompanied by a business delegation, which will consist of representatives of the private and public sectors.
Also, he extended an invitation of the Iranian Minister of Oil and Gas to Antic to visit the Islamic Republic of Iran during the year.
Antic pointed out that it would be important that the business delegation includes representatives of the energy sector, given the importance that Iran has in the area.
