Membership in Eurotransplant great success for our country

Minister of Health Zlatibor Loncar said today that the decision of the Board of Eurotransplant to receive our country in this organisation means a lot for our patients and healthcare because patients awaiting transplants can quickly get the needed organ.
Loncar told Radio Television of Serbia (RTS) that the Board unanimously decided to make an agreement with Serbia to help our country become a member of this organisation, so that the Serbian health system becomes part of the EU system.
It is expected that we can in two to three months coordinate all of our procedures with the legislation in force in the EU, waiting lists and other legal things and sign a one-year contract, said the Minister.
A team of the Ministry of Health, led by Loncar, yesterday presented to the Board of Eurotransplant what has been done in Serbia in the field of transplantation, and what the goals for this year are.
