Joksimovic, who is taking part in an informal meeting of ministers and secretaries of state in charge of European affairs in Malta, that on 1 January took over the EU presidency, said in a statement to the Tanjug news agency that only enlargement itself is not defined as a priority for the presidency of Malta.
However, she noted that representatives from almost all EU Member States have shown that enlargement will be high on the agenda for the presidency of Malta, which will be taken over by Estonia in the second half of the year.
If a wisely use our capabilities as a candidate country, I think there is a chance that this year will be good when it comes to the dynamics of chapter opening, Joksimovic assessed.
