Speaking to the reporters after the meeting and the signing of the agreement at the Palace of Serbia, Nedimovic said that this memorandum provides for the arrival of big Chinese companies in the food industry and the processing industry of fruits and vegetables, as well as in the meat processing industry.
The idea is to use the existing raw materials in Serbia and to export them at higher value, he said, explaining that the memorandum provides for bigger export of beef and lamb meat, as well as milk and milk powder, all of which will be discussed in more detail at the next meeting.
The Memorandum also deals with the harmonisation of protocols concerning Serbia’s exports to China and with cooperation and exchange of scientific and research institutions, the Minister explained and recalled that the visa liberalisation between Serbia and China came into effect yesterday.
Changfu said that in June last year it was promised that cooperation in all fields will be strengthened and that he came to realise cooperation in the field of agriculture.
