Nikolic said on this occasion that a message of friendship, cooperation and peace is being sent from Belgrade to the world, noting that economic connecting always leads to a better life of citizens.
As a country that wants to be a member of the EU and that wants good bilateral relations with every country, Serbia will continue to strengthen its participation in this organisation, Nikolic stressed.
Minister Dacic and Secretary General of BSEC Michael Christidis also addressed those present.
Previously, the First Deputy Prime Minister welcomed the heads of delegations, including representatives of Moldova, Romania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria, Albania and Ukraine.
As planned, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Nebojsa Stefanovic will sign an agreement between the governments of the participating states of BSEC on cooperation in emergency aid and emergency response to natural disasters and disasters caused by man, as well as the additional protocol to this agreement.
After that, a ceremony of handing over of BSEC presidency from Serbia to Turkey will be held.
The Republic of Serbia took over presidency of BSEC from the Russian Federation on 1 July 2016 in Sochi, at a meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of BSEC.
